| My name is Colleen, my father, Larry, who put his heart and soul into this breed and loved his dogs dearly, passed away january 22th, 2008, at age 48. He battled cancer for over a year. We shall continue to carry on his work in improving this wonderful breed. We have a small 10 acre home which is dedicated to the passion of breeding, conformation showing, and agility competition, with Australian Cattle Dogs. Merrigang Australian Cattle Dogs is a family run kennel committed to the improvement of the breed. We are dedicated to producing quality dogs with temperaments that are a pleasure to live with and the ability to do the work that this breed was designed for. Merrigang is an Australian Aboriginal word meaning, "Playground Of Dingo's". Here at Merrigang Australian Cattle Dogs that meaning truly comes to life as the dogs frolic and romp, on what they consider to be their playground. Larry gained invaluable experience with dogs from his mother. She has raised rough Collies for 40 years with great success. his love for dogs and an ability to work with them was carefully nurtured under her watchful eye.
